Gather with Community During Seattle Restaurant Week

Fall means cozy sweater season and the call of The Great Indoors. Gathering together is all the more inspiring around plates of fish and chips, oven-fired pizzas, decadent desserts, and drinks! This Seattle Restaurant Week, explore establishments that offer ample room for group gatherings, whether that’s a family reunion, work happy hour, or special occasion with your besties.

This listing brings together a sampling of SRW participating restaurants perfect for groups. There’s spots here to watch the game, gather for a board game night, or enjoy open mics and live music. We recommend calling ahead or making a reservation for big groups!

a/stir

Those familiar with the Capitol Hill (and the gluten-free) dining scene will easily recognize a/stir, formerly Capitol Cider, as a hub of great gluten-free food, drinks, and community for over a decade. When owners Chef Ton Yazici and Rich Burton took over and launched as a/stir, they reworked the menu to include offerings inspired by dishes from Spain, Italy, France, Greece, and Turkey — as well as PNW ingredients. Menu items often come with an optional suggested wine (Yazici and Burton own Locus Wines) or cider pairing. The bar and seating downstairs are a longstanding spot for open mics, board game nights, trivia, and jam sessions.

a/stir has two dinner options for SRW: a $35 Classics Menu with some popular items like wild Alaskan fish and chips and brown rice pudding; and a $65 Adventurer’s Menu with sumac-seared tuna, braised short rib, and apricot-orange cake options. Capitol Hill. Dinner is $35 and $65.

Jackson St Pizza Lounge

A friendly hangout in the Central District/Leschi neighborhood, Jackson Street Pizza Lounge is known for its hand-tossed pies as well as its cocktails, game night specials, live music, and DJ nights. “We love music just as much as we love pizza, which is why every Saturday you’ll find vinyl DJs or live acts filling the Lounge with sound,” they say. Head to Jackson Street on Nov. 1 for a spooky-themed live jazz session. Leschi. Dinner is $35.

Wild Wasabi Japanese Cuisine

Whether you’re a seasoned sushi aficionado, or someone trying their first roll, all are welcome at Wild Wasabi in Lynwood. This neighborhood gem combines years of experience in crafting traditional sushi with modern twists. The robust menu also offers soup and noodle dishes, Korean style short ribs, and much more. Plus, the plentiful vegan options mean there’s something for the whole family here. Gather your crew and make a plan to visit Wild Wasabi during SRW. Lynwood. Menu TBD.

Toulouse Petit

This highly regarded Queen Anne restaurant has an ambitious menu rooted in Creole and Cajun cusines. Established in 2009, Toulouse Petit took over a year to fully construct, resulting in a “richly textured” decor that happens to catch and reflect candlelight in just the right way. For SRW, options abound at several price points for lunch and dinner. Try the seafood gumbo, Big Easy jambalaya, and buttermilk beignets for lunch, and beef shortrib chanterelle stroganoff or Snake River Farms Wagyu Bavette for dessert — those are just some examples, you’ll want to see the full menu for yourself! Toulouse Petit fills up fast, so reservations are encouraged. Queen Anne. Lunch for $20 and $35. Dinner for $35, $50, and $65.

Bindaas Restaurant and Sports Bar

A new addition to the Renton scene, Bindaas is a woman-owned Indian restaurant and sports bar — and so much more! This colorful, classy spot has both a dining area and 21+ sports bar, plus a walk-up window outside for ordering to-go. Traditional Indian flavors meet modern twists, like nachos with tandoori chicken, samosa smash burgers, and paan-rose soft serve. Consider SRW your opportunity to check out this up-and-coming restaurant!

Bindaas offers two SRW menus: a two-course meal or your choice of three small plates, both for $35. Butter chicken rice bowl, raw banana kofta curry, kebabs, and desserts like mishti dhoi: salted caramel, are just some options, but check out the full SRW menu for more! Renton. Lunch and dinner for $35.

Frolik Kitchen + Cocktails

A rooftop restaurant and bar at the Hilton Motif downtown, Frolik has seasonal Pacific Northwest cuisine and a gorgeous skyline view. The expansive outdoor deck also has fireplaces and ping-pong tables, perfect for lingering before or after a meal. It’s a great choice to bring friends or family visiting from out of town. For SRW, enjoy buttered lobster rolls, beef sliders, or wild mushroom risotto while sipping on a PNW negroni or mocktail (drink not included). Downtown. Lunch is $35. Dinner is $50.

8 at Ping Yang

Thai food is anything but tied down to tradition at 8 Ping Yang. A testament to the chefs’ creativity, Thai flavors expand to global dishes, like the Bangkok burger, Southern fried chicken wings, and green tea tiramisu. They also have an herb garden behind the kitchen for fresh ingredients used in drinks and on the plate. This restaurant can easily accommodate large groups or special occasions, just ask!

8 Ping Yang offers both lunch and dinner options for SRW. Lunch items include a choice of chicken satay or garlic leek cake for starters, Chu-Chee salmon or mushroom tom kha risotto for entrees, and lychee panna cotta for dessert. Dinner comes with a choice of grilled calamari or larb tuna for appetizers, seafood risotto or green curry flank steak for mains, and Thai green tea tiramisu or tea crème brule for dessert. Capitol Hill. Lunch is $35. Dinner is $50.

Nom Nom Sando

A new restaurant on the Ave in the University District, Nom Nom Sando brings together Japanese and American flavors for affordable comfort dishes like pork katsu sandwiches, unadon, popcorn chicken, and spicy udon. Bring your classmates before or after a study session during SRW for lunch or dinner at $20. SRW menus include an entree like curry katsudon or spicy creamy udon, six pieces of takoyaki or fried scallop for a side, and oolong milk tea for a drink. University District. Lunch and dinner is $20.
